I doubt they are Neil. I'm so glad I got to experience the equalizer because that feeling was immense and whilst we ended up losing that feeling can't be taken away. As you said elsewhere the important thing was that we turned up and performed rather than going out limply and we certainly didn't do that. Its been great just to take part in the play-offs as most clubs wont even get to do that at this level. Now it has happened once though I want it to happen again.

What a game.  Same as everyone on Morgan but also thought Owen Evans was top draw tonight.

On to next season and new owners.  This momentum needs to continue and it can only be with kingy and lots of these players plus top part timers joining.  Patrick and Nicki think out of the box.  Local sponsors.  50p on a pint! £1 quid on a burger. It we il all add up.   Keep kingy however you can.  The tend won’t accept anything else right now.

RE: Brackley - Bobby - 04-05-2023

I've lost count of the number of times I've been to Brackley and seen a totally lacklustre performance, so I was a bit nervous that tonight could have been an anticlimax.
What. A. Game.

Despite the result, that equaliser is sure to go down as one of my favourite memories following City.

If Kingy stays, I am confident we'll be back next year!

RE: Brackley - Darran - 04-05-2023

I said when King joined he would get us in the play-offs and he duly did. If he stays next season then even on a reduced budget I would back him to get us in the play-offs. The Chambers' should be doing all they can to keep him, but I suspect the reality is rather different sadly.

RE: Brackley - Neil - 04-05-2023

I hope we get to see the foul on Ben Morgan in the highlights. It's amazing how the ref gave fouls against us in the penalty area for our attacking free kicks and corners for the slightest infringement yet Morgan is shoved to the floor and he absolutely bottles it. Wanker.

Spot on. Despite the result, tonight will live long in the memory especially spence's equaliser.

So proud of everyone associated with this club tonight. It wasn't to be but what an incredible season it's been. Its just a shame the squads likely to be ripped apart in the next couple of weeks.

Although everyone and his dog has probably already seen the goals on the livestream here are the worms eye view videos of both goals.

TP1 - TP1 - 04-05-2023

Some random reflections on last night:

Brackley’s burgers were like eating a wad of rubber.

532 travelling support: nearly as big as our home attendance vs Curzon Ashton (547!)

That inordinately lengthy Brackley injury in the second half killed our momentum when we were 1-0 up and looking likely to get a second.

Thought we were overall the better team after the 1st half. But I would say that.

RE: Brackley - MrMatt - 04-05-2023

Despite the result, these last few days have felt amazing and the city are starting to take notice of their football team. Hopefully we can keep that momentum and togetherness into next season.

Feel for the players but you can’t have asked for anything more from them. Really nice touch for them to hand out scarves at the start of the game.

I think it says a lot about the fans and players that the players were still on the pitch getting clapped after the Brackley players had already gone back to the changing rooms. Thought they would’ve been out celebrating for a while!

Think you would be queuing for less time for a popular ride at Alton Towers then food and drink at Brackley!
