Dunston/Gateshead - HeathBrewer - 22-07-2023

What in blazes? Just watched the video of that nonsense. How on God's green earth do those terrorists get cars on the pitch? Anybody know law enforcement's reaction? I have a thousand more questions and know this isn't about our Club, but I thought I'd ask everybody's thoughts.

Just watched it on YouTube. Throwing leaflets from the vehicles, onto the pitch. The distress it could have caused, Police say no one was Injured or Threatened. Pitch wrecked in the process.

They had guns as well. The fans handled it more calmly than I would have. What a mess and the expense to fix that pitch.

If you saw what was on the leaflets then it makes more sense.

Some right nasty people involved in that according to one twitterer

Sure does. Though terrifying a lot of kids (and no doubt adults too) to make a point is not the greatest PR for their campaign.

Did you know about their campaign before that match? If no, then it's worked

So what was it all about?

RE: Dunston/Gateshead - HeathBrewer - 23-07-2023

I read the statement from the club and the flyers. If the club statement is too be believed, they were just being a menace and destructive. There was no excuse, in my mind, for what they did. It's been over two years since one of those causing the protest was anywhere near the team. Why now?

Can one alleged criminal act be justified by another blatant act of criminality? And is it a matter for society or the criminal justice system? Whatever.. personally I'm more interested in how we're going to line up in defence next Saturday week with 3 of our defenders out injured and or suspended.
