£25k, imagine something around that figure would be swallowed up by testing alone, per club

Testing is quite cheap according to the Havant manager and not as much as the NL were suggesting. Obviously BT money will help pay for the NL play-offs, but if it was really as much as 60k even they would struggle to pay it. The Havant manager has said his players will take a pay cut and only train for a week before the game(s) to make it even cheaper. It does strike me as a NL stitch up. Chorley are easy to relegate because they were basically down anyway, but they don't want to have to send Ebbsfleet and Fylde down on such tight margins.

If AP has spoken to Gateshead and is quoting £65k, quite literally directly from that club then I have no reason to question it.
Northampton have said it’ll cost £250k to play the play-offs and the owners will pay for it if the club aren’t promoted as the potential rewards are far grater. £65k at this level sounds high, but it’s probably about right.

Well Havant and Dorking think it will only cost them £25k so that's a big difference. Northampton will have had to take everyone off furlough and will have more staff plus will be training for longer. Like I say I don't think Gateshead really want to be in the play-offs so will be quite happy to toe the NL line.

So it could be said different clubs are having to pay different amounts, and the cost of playing in the play-offs is different for different clubs.

That's certainly a different view point, although different, probably correct

Having read the nlp every nls club said they could do it for 20/25k. Gateshead were the only club which didn’t have a comment from someone at the club out of the 12 possible play off teams. Only 4 teams need to take part for the play offs to take place. I’d imagine Gateshead would turn it down because they can’t even afford 20/25k

cost will be different for each club as the losing teams will only have to be tested ahead of one game, whereas the winners will pay for tests before each game hence the higher cost.

The tests are fairly cheap though. Anyway playoffs at step 2 are back on the agenda and the clubs will eventually get the forms this week

£12k for the tests isn't it?
