Having said that, I’m forced to admit I have just watched Yeovil v Barnet on BT Sport. (Didn’t cost me any extra).
Poor first half, better second. Barnet scored a good goal early in second half. Yeovil had plenty of chances to equalise, but didn’t manage to put ball far enough into the net to satisfy the officials - where’s goal line technology when you need it? Barnet got a second that would’ve been disallowed by VAR for handball that the ref and Lino didn’t spot. So Yeovil can probably consider themselves unlucky as they were the better team in my opinion.

Pretty much right dr Bob although I don’t think the ball was over the line and even if it was it would have been very hard for the officials to have seen it. Same with the handball as well as it wasn’t even spotted straight away by the commentators.

Just seen a tweet about Bury and Isle of Man FC being entered into the NL North. Where does that leave us? The M25 I suppose.

Think you need to read the tweet again Neil as they have both been put into a step 6 league. What could change things for us though is that two clubs have applied to the fa to enter the system and they must want to go into steps 1 or 2 as the leagues below is were all confirmed today. One is likely to be the old bury but no idea who the other one would be. Given the odd number at our level it wouldn’t be the biggest surprise if one club made up the numbers and if it was bury then National League South here we come.

Pretty certain it said NL, it's the original Bury too, not the phoenix club.

Tweet from The North West Counties Football League - (step 10)
We welcome Bury AFC and FC Isle of Man to the league as Emley AFC are moved across to the NCEFL

Didn’t think the NL was a invite yourself in type of league. I get bury but surely they will be told tofu I off - sets a bad precedent. Don’t believe there is any other team that as a right to think they should just drop into step 1 or2.

The thing is the original bury could go into the National League given it was just the efl that decided to stop them from competing. It’s been rumoured in the past that other clubs in trouble could end up being demoted to the national league so to me this would be no different. It’s up to the fa to decide anyway. The north west counties didn’t want the new bury or the Isle of Man and told the fa as such yet have ended up with them both.
