It's not a point per game mate, it's working out the average points they have gained per game during the season. Just checking you understand that?

"It can only be voided". No it can't, there are other options, yours is one opinion, not a fact.

There really isn't any other option. You either play the season to a conclusion or you void it. Anything else would be a disgrace quite frankly and the FA would be on very dodgy ground legally. South Shields can not prove they would have won the league. If Morpeth won their games in hand they would be 3 points behind them. Morpeth could easily claim that they haven't had a fair chance of catching them because they have played 6 games less. It is no surprise that the clubs signing the letter are mainly at the top and I suspect most of those probably just want to see if they can continue the season rather than settle it on PPG. I don't blame the clubs for not being happy about it and being frustrated, but just accept that the decision has been made and move on. If the league's had put in a rule saying if x amount of games had been played then the season can be resulted then everyone knows the situation before the season starts. Given they don't then voiding it is the only option they do have.

Oddly for me I hadn't put it in a horse racing context before, but Dave mentioned on Twitter that if a horse race has to be stopped and voided you don't give the race to the horse that was in front at the time the race was stopped. There was even a race in January at Sandown where the jockey's didn't see/ignored the stop race flag and the race finished but it was declared void. There was a race at Dundalk a couple of weeks ago where the race had to be stopped just as they were meant to enter the home straight again it is void. There is no fair way of deciding what might have happened in the remaining games, thus the only fair thing to is void it

I'm being told there's another vote this week regarding how to end the season ....

A vote is pointless though really as those who gain from continuing or PPG will vote for that and those who gain for voiding will vote for that. The FA have made their decision and clubs just need to accept it and move on to making sure their clubs survive this crisis.

I agree... but this is on how to conclude the NL season I believe ... Not overly sure... When I know more i'll let people know... I think so clubs might go to the wall sadly... the issue or one of the issues with clubs coming up, is there grounds aren't NL ready. So yes lots are moaning, but i don't believe they are all NL ready for the 31 March deadline. MP was clearly not going to pass a ground grading today, but our plan B in Bath was ready so we're all ok for next season. We now just need to get MP ready for the final review date if we can at the end of July...

Just a thought Alex. If the ground we begin next season at is Bath, does that mean we'll be in the Southern division with Oxford heading North?

RE: League Season Conclusion - Suggestions - Alex Petheram - 01-04-2020

No idea... the whole South/ North thing is a joke in my humble opinion, as the league told me last year the day before it was public. So what players do we sign etc etc ... I think we should know much sooner i.e. the second all the play offs are completed.

Personally I like the grounds in the North, but prefer the South for travel.

If the leagues are voided then I don't see how we can move divisions even if we move to Bath.

RE: League Season Conclusion - Suggestions - Bobby - 01-04-2020

Dodged a bullet again this year.
Any normal season (with 3 relegated teams), I suspect we'd have been very much there or thereabouts. Tempora mutantur...
