They had one game left hardly the same thing. No promotion either to worry about so quite easy for them to settle the season.

Which they have yet to decide on what to do from what I can tell, but because they only had one game left it obviously meant they had a much easier decision to make than anyone else.

Yet another vote has happened in the NL; 10 want immediate finish, 4 want season to continue, 9 undecided & 1 abstention.
Yet again, lack of clarity from the powers that be on what the options are. P1ss poor administrators, putting every decision to a vote.
NLN & NLS get 4 votes each on top of the NL 24 votes.
Good to see Jeff Stelling’s column in the NL Paper advocating an immediate end, he opts for PPG.

Clubs have until May 7th to vote and those numbers are just what a BBC journalist found out from ringing all the clubs. Maybe Alex or Colin can clear up how the 8 votes from Step 2 work. Does each club vote and then the 4 votes go to the winning option or do 4 clubs at random just get a vote from each league?
The first vote is flawed though as Barrow aren't going to vote for the season to end if it meant the season would be voided, but they would vote for the season to end if it meant they would be promoted. How can they make a decision on continuing the season or not without knowing what the consequences are going to be?
I agree the FA/National League should have made the decision by now, but the clubs at Step 3-7 who signed that letter are moaning they didn't have a say in it. Clearly the same would apply here so I can see why they have done it, but this thing could drag on and on. It still amazes me that clubs/people think it is possible to finish the season. It will be months before people will be able to go to a sporting event. If there was an attempt to finish the season then it could mean we have no 20/21 season which would mean a lot of lost income just trying to finish the current season.

The Nightingale hospital just finished in Bristol and able to take patients from the middle of next week if needbe, though there is still space in other local hospitals so it should not be needed so far is legislating to be open for 18 months not 18 days.
Anyone or orginasation who thinks they will be allowed or able to play any sport in the immediate future is living in a fools paradise.
I for one value my and my family and neighbours lives too hightly to attend any gathering in the immediate or near future!

Much of the uncertainty for League 1 downwards is caused by UEFA and the EPL (among others) not wanting to lose TV revenue. Confident predictions from UEFA that Istanbul will be hosting the Champion's League final on 29 August are of course in no way undermined by reports that Turkey is sadly suffering from the world's highest rate of new Covid cases and that 60% of all such cases are in Istanbul. Now Rick Parry (EFL) has said that clubs should be ready to re-start the season "at relatively short notice" but there's no need to worry about spectators since he implies every match will be streamed. I've no idea about streaming revenues in the lower leagues but while it might be a temporary fix for the likes of Leeds this just seems more pie in the sky for most. At present many of us are having to exist in a kind of Neverland (Peter Pan's rather than Michael Jackson's), but it seems that sports administrators remain stubbornly in denial on their special island of lunatic avarice and delusional arrogance.

This is the problem the National League have. A club like Notts County are huge and would be able to stream games and are in a good position to carry on whenever football was able to start again. It seems Solihull are the same, again another team well off. Yet you also have tiny teams like Hungerford and Tonbridge who won't have the money to just carry on with the league. At this stage I reckon we wont see a game of football played in front of a crowd until 2021. Would love to be wrong, but this is going to change the football landscape for sure.
