If I was a betting man... and i'm just acting as a fan now, shooting from the hip...
I would guess that the league will be concluded this week, with an outcome around the next round of voting or whatever of, Kings Lynn going up from the North, Weldstone going up from the South, Barrow going up from the National and Chorley coming down. That would leave an odd number of clubs between the North and South accepted. No idea what will happen with us, I'd like to move South personally in my heart, but it's better if we can have a season of consistency, so staying North would be better for us as a club. So i'd like to stay North for that reason.
Lot's of teams are refusing to vote, but it's a simple overall majority wins, so first to 16... we've 8 already and 6 (i think from ringing around national clubs), so only a couple more needed... so if Notts County, Yeovil, Solihull and others don't want to vote, they might find there plan backfires .... The big clubs still think they are in the EFL.... they need to look around and remember they are in the National League for a reason.

If there is promotion there won't be any relegation in my view and I also struggle to see them just promoting one club. Possibly Barrow might go up to the EFL, but I would be very surprised if clubs will be happy with Kings Lynn and Wealdstone going up by themselves.
We could see the National League becoming a League 3 or a regional division with League 2 on the back of this as some are suggesting this is a possibility to keep costs down and have more local games.

I agree with your last statement. What has been highlighted in all of this is the fact that we in the North and South are the poor neighbour. With the National clubs getting four times the rights we have, in terms of voting and sponsorship payments.
I wouldn't be surprised if the rules changed to split the models after this season, with the National league following more like the EFL and us staying as we are. The issue with teams like South Shields for example is there ground currently doesn't meet the ground grading requirements, so yes they might be unhappy about the null and void in the leagues below, but as their ground (so I'm lead to believe) doesn't meet the current NL requirements, the league had no option but to null and void the leagues below.

Hadn't seen anything to suggest that South Shields ground didn't meet the grading requirements. They were allowed to play in the play-offs last year and they wouldn't have been allowed to if the ground wasn't up to scratch in the same way Concord couldn't in the NLS a couple of years ago. If was you say is true though then it adds plenty to the mix of their argument against voiding the league's

Hi Darren,
But don't forget the grading rules have changed this summer, which is why Evesham couldn't be our plan B, as this season it meets the NL grading but for next season it doesn't.
Having just googled the SS ground, they don't have enough seats nor a media /TV platform ... and that's what I can see from the web without overly looking.

Well done for asking, in that case I hope they get promotion soon. They have been so close for a couple of seasons now and the board have invested a lot of money.
