SK's interview was interesting in that he was telling him to stick in and around the box, and the goals were classical poacher style goals, which could be an invaluable asset.  Time will tell but lets hope SK coming in means we see more of the Phillips from Saturday.

I agree - playing as we did  before with sideways passing never hurt any team - getting in behind and firing in crosses does - Nugents in particular lands virtually on the 6 yard line difficult for the keeper hence another goal.
Maybe thats his strength. Time will tell.

Banbury coming in for a lot of flak on ‘tinterwebs following their FA Trophy defeat at Bracknell. It is alleged that racist slurs and chanting were used towards an opposing player.

If you’ve got a minute have a look at their Twitter feed. They’re beginning to rival Fylde for failing to read the mood in the room…………

nice cup draw for Hereford.

If only...

RE: NLN Watch - Paul - 17-10-2022

As fantastic as it would be to have a long cup run and filling the coffers, our main objective is to be in the play-offs at the end of the season. The cup is an entertaining distraction and if you're lucky, as Hereford are, to have a match against a big club, then yes it'll bring people who don't normally watch for one match, but it's also extra wear and tear on players having more games to play. The less games we have to play and keeping players fit, the better off we'll be at the end of the season.

I can't speak for Gloucester City, but I disagree with your point Paul.

Our best seasons have coincided with our best cup runs. In 96/97 we made the first round and won promotion, in 98/99 we made the 3rd round and were promoted, 01/02 - 5th round and promoted, 05/06 - 4th round and promoted, 20/21 - 4th round and promoted.

A cup run helps keep the momentum going, and gives the players a break from the grind of the League. They're not to be sniffed at.

Sod off Si, we’re scratching around to find the positives here man! Smile

Our keeper was worse than yours on Saturday.

I'm not dismissing the excitement a good cup run would bring, rather that our main aim this season is to be in the play-offs at the end of the season, and having a small squad we need to keep injuries to a minimum. I'd rather get promoted than have a cup run. If we had a large, fully fit and committed squad it might not be such an issue.

I want both, and I want it now

RE: NLN Watch - Neil - 20-10-2022

Hereford's cup tie vs Pompey is live on BBC2.

Probably pay their wages for the season that game alone Sad
