Odd things seem to be going on with their ownership too.
If they continue to decline there's a chance that 3 northern clubs will be relegated especially if Dorking get their act together....

Dorking are going to go down. Seems more likely that Scunthorpe might actually be able to get themselves out of the relegation zone.
York want their owner out and things have gone downhill since they sacked Askey and got a manager in who was useless. They've sacked him, but haven't got a new man at.

Noticed that Hereford beat Fylde at Fylde 3 - 1 whilst we were playing Chester last night. Do they have a new manager to impress?

The only game of note* for City this evening ended 1-1 between Brackley and King's Lynn. The result keeps Brackley catchable and their form is pretty poor.
Could do with Alfreton playing some games. Will their squad cope with the Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday run heading their way?
*Chester lost but have enough points in the bag to probably not worry about not getting into the playoffs.

I disagree the more games they have to fit into just over a month the better for us. I watched the Brackley game and Kings Lynn nearly nicked it right at the death with a couple of corners and they were the better side over the 90 minutes.

Alfreton start off a congested calendar this Saturday with a home fixture against Fylde. We're all Fylde aren't we :-)
Brackley host Blyth and Chorley welcome Banbury.
Scarborough go to Chester so someone or both are dropping points. Darlington host Hereford.

Realistically, I’d say only Chorley and Scarborough are catchable, the others are too far ahead.

And Darlington, who are only 1 point ahead & in terrible form. Although they have 3 games in hand.

I think we have the squad belief to win all our remaining games. Forget the other sides, City just need to keep that points tally rattling along and the future will then take care of itself.
To borrow a phrase I saw used at The Gas a few years ago now.....8 to go and you never know

Looking at the table we are the least likely team to make the playoffs out of about ten teams. Lets hope that drives us on.
