RE: NLN Watch - Neil - 04-04-2023

we don't have an NLP watch so looking at the table, Yeovil look like they could be coming back down to this level for the first time in 30 years or so. They've had quite an adventure. I always thought that they shouldn't have been in the Cockney paperclip league or whatever it was called back then, with us going to Kent and Sussex for matches.

There have always been arguments over league placing but there's was an obvious candidate for easing the Southern League clubs' mileage.

Considering that about 10 years ago they were in the Championship, that's a bit of a drop. Just goes to show that the smaller clubs in L1 & L2 shouldn't consider themselves to be permanent fixtures in the EFL. Our near neighbours should take note.

They played Southend on Saturday and apparently that was a championship game not that long ago. Maidstone have been relegated and Scunthorpe are likely to follow.

Read comments about Scunthorpe earlier relating to the Swann family. I remember not so long ago they had plans for new stadiums for both Scunny and Gainsborough when they were there throwing the cash around. It's not ended well for either of them.

Yeovil currently 0-2 at Goatsheed, Marcus Dinanga (a former City target) with both goals.

Sad what's happening at Scunny.  Latest development is moving their training centre to Ilkeston, 90 miles away, dismantling their academy etc etc. Interesting interview with new chairman reported here:  https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65161791

Brackley have lost tonight which is very handy.

RE: NLN Watch - Neil - 04-04-2023

Yeah, nine points from their last ten games. They might even miss out at this rate.

RE: NLN Watch - Prorsum Semper - 04-04-2023

Farsley's win relegates Teflon.

Peterborough Sports’ chairman has confirmed they’ve been given a one month extension to bring their ground up to step 2 grading. Not sure if this has ever been given before?

Saying that, they have effectively 3 and a half weeks to add more seats, a 4 step terrace and an 8 step terrace. That’s quite a lot of work.
