Seats are back to red in the main stand. They inherited red seats from Man United and repainted the stadium red during the COVID lockdowns.

Sounds like Man Utd needed to get over it

Remarkably Little not Penno! only ever played fir Villa - 247 appearances over 8-9 yrs. quite a short playing career ( not sure if injuries were to blame) . Manager at the very top in his day.

Can recall going to Villa Park a few times when he was manager there. A bit of a surprise seeing him as manager when Gainsborough played at WR.

I had no idea that he was Villa manager!

RE: NLN Watch - Si Robin - 14-04-2023

He was the last English manager to win a major trophy in the 20th century - the 1996 League Cup.

There wasn't another English manager to win a major trophy until Steve McLaren in 2004 (Middlesbrough - League Cup) and the only English manager to win a trophy since was Harry Redknapp when he won the FA Cup with Portsmouth in 2008.

He said with his tongue in his (a***) cheek...I think I'm right that Gloucester's Steve Cowe was part of the Villa first team under Little, but spent his time there on the bench and never got a game. Should have played for us.  Smile

Yep. Always disappointing that the best Gloucester players don't play for City. His daughter plays for the ladies team now though.
