True, but at least he’s stuck with it, especially after the five-year plan went out the window. I’d trade places with a Fylde fan any day if we got the financial stability and taste of success that they’ve had.

It's only stable whilst a wealthy businessman is prepared to keep putting the money in. As we know. Another Rushden and Diamonds in the making.

What is the ultimate aim of these clubs though? I feel the unrealistic aim of every club no matter what level is to win, no, retain the Champions League or why bother? But seriously, who has always dreamed of mid table mediocrity in League One?
Whats the end game for Wrexham? Salford City? Are Fleetwood about to slide down a massive snake now that Andy Pilley is living indoors?

I guess it's about the level of entertainment on offer and representing your area, but quite why village clubs rise to the level they do is baffling. They seem to just be rich men's vanity projects.

It’s a shame the stewards there are like they are. Disgraceful place.

Agree on the stewards but otherwise Fylde's a brilliant stadium and complex. It's also strategically placed to take advantage of the growth and new investment around the area as well as the rapidly increasing population of Preston itself. It was noticeable how around the ground it was pretty much deserted when we went in 2021 but far more developed in 2023 and investment and grants continue to pour in around there. I'd say their chairman is a pretty shrewd guy.

It's not what others do. It's in our hands If we get 21 points from our last 7 we will very likely survive, 18 may well be enough too.
