Paying players to stay in hotels over night plus what must have been heavy travelling expenses just isn't and wasn't sustainable given where we are as a club. It just goes to show just what some clubs at this level must be spending and the owners with very deep pockets.
It looks like we might get a few of the more local lads retained but I think we should expect a completely new team come the new season, at least a fair few will have played together last season in the Chippenham contingent!
With TF connections Im hoping we get some younger players from the Midlands área released from Wolver, Birminham or Villa.

Sometimes it’s not about how you start it’s about how you finish. Look at Kidderminster and even ourselves. Also look at Banbury and how they started and ended the season.

Just remember that Tim Harris said the squad from THAT season was only 3-4 signings away from making the play offs.

The PPG from 16/17 season was actually better than this season. For me the highlight of last season wasn’t necessarily the football but the camaraderie which I think played a major part and which we need to retain. As I said before if you put happy players in front of happy fans then you’re half way there.

It's called "esprit de corps" and is worth achieving. I hope the "hometown" theme isn't too exclusive though, a handful of "foreigners" would season the mix nicely.
