Fantasy EPL scoring of City players

He has been a real asset to the club, and will have learned a ton from being with us.

What I’ll say about Ollie is that he can’t be accused of not giving 100%, for a 19 year old to reach double figures in a side which hasn’t created many chances is superb, and to cap it off he has scored some really crucial goals for us when it’s mattered

Yes to a certain extent he is a victim of his own success, highly unlikely a 19 year old was going to go a whole season scoring a goal a game.  His levels have possibly dropped a touch, but that is only natural in reality, it would have been more of a surprise if he could have maintained them where they were.  Also agree that his efforts levels can not be called into question, and along with Tomlinson those two loan signings in particular have been a massive part of ensuring the disaster that looked like it might happen at one point did not.  Tomlinson has probably been the reverse of Hulbert in many ways, a much slower start, but has really come into his own the last couple of months, and again another whose effort levels can't be questioned.

They will almost certainly have improved in general as players over their stay, and I know there is the general debate about whether our role should be to produce/develop other clubs players, however, I can't help but feel that their experience will mark us out as a good place to send you young prospects.   Like it or not exploiting the loan market is vital at this level, and if this gives us an edge in being able to pick up some of the better prospects then that can only help IMO.

I think Ollie and Lucas have been two of the best loan signings we have had in several seasons ( not including goalkeepers) . Some of the others have been shocking ... no names.

Both have flourished with us and helped hugely with our almost certain survival. Have them for next season - if the opportunity arose I certainly would. Thanks to them both.

You do well to recognise goal involvements. Is that the touch before the assist?

No, it’s a goal OR assist I reckon. Smile

Sticking around a while yet, thanks to a gift from a generous angel.

Sorry, I’ll rewrite it. A goal involvement is goals + assists.

I certainly wasn't knocking Hulbert only explaining why he wouldn't be my POTS, we've had some dire loan strikers in the past.

Based on the evidence I'll probably go Dawson as POTS and Thompson for YPOTS
