In terms of the content I think the part about which of the big name full time players are currently offering value for money is an interesting topic. My take on the 4 that I think were mentioned on the pod would be:
McClure - a couple of times this season he has linked up with Hulbert and its looked genuinely promising. His chip against York is probably my highlight of the season, although there isn't a great deal of competition in that regard. I also think the lack of service hasn't helped when judging him this season. That said he hasn't been on the pitch enough this season, either through injury or suspension, and has at times cut a frustrated figure as others have pointed out before. For me he has just about enough credit in the bank right now.
Mensah - injuries have obviously hampered him, his performances when he has played have not bee great. Sounds like he is a great bloke but hard to say that he represents anywhere near value for money right now. If not for the contract I would not be surprised to have seen him moved on.
Dawson - he is the one right now I would be questioning the most. We've had a discipline problem this year, and he is probably one of the biggest culprits, which really isn't ideal for your captain. I think his performances in general have also dropped off as the season has gone on.
Robert - when on the pitch he often seems a class apart. So good on the ball. But not on the pitch enough. Clearly a great player on his day but another you'd have to question if he is value for money. For me he probably is, but I can understand why the question would be asked.
