Bloomin’ fantastic! Back to back wins. This would be the perfect time to get a run going and mount that playoff bid. Phillips looks like he’s picked up where he left off before he got injured.

Kingy showing once again that he’s the man to take us forward, back him and we will be successful.

Yep. To be sitting 2 points outside the play offs with the bare bones available just shows what a brilliant job Kingy is doing.

To then be told he has to trim the squad down even further. We’ll be lucky to field a starting 11 of senior players at Buxton.

Disgraceful if that is allowed to happen but then that is Alex for you and he doesn’t care anymore. Certainly ends any talk of the playoffs and thanks for nothing Alex.

Have to agree, he’s always talked like a caring employer, saying how he has to think of their mental and physical health. Not much sign of that recently and certainly not now.  A real chance of something special but he wants s his ball back.

Yes we will be losing players as it seem Alex wants to cut the budget some more instead of letting King try and take us into the play-offs. It's almost like Alex doesn't want us to go up with King in charge.

Rumours of a £2000 p/w budget cut before Saturday. We had 11 fit senior players last night. Not sure how you can trim anything more out of that squad?

This is going to be a really sad end to the season and an ownership era of this is the way things are going to wind down. Surely the fans, the players, and the management deserve better?

Better yes, but it's not APs style. If he's not getting media attention of how much it's him running the club and his own financial input running the club he won't support it. Such a shame and a sad way to leave as well. But this is how he will be remembered, a paying fan my ass.

Alfreton have 4 more points and have only played one more game. I think, along with Chorley, they’re to biggest threat to last last play off spot. That said, if we’re fielding half of our U19’s side it will all be academic.

Sticking around a while yet, thanks to a gift from a generous angel.
