Is this game all ticket , being segregated or can we still use cash on the day ?

Officially all ticket, segregated, and you’d never be turned away but it will take longer.

Sticking around a while yet, thanks to a gift from a generous angel.

Why would it be slower?

Because the operator won’t have to use the card machine or give change etc, which takes longer than just scanning QR code, especially if there’s a queue.

And cost more? Or is that another here today gone tomorrow policy?

Simply not true. The QR codes have been subject to abuse lately ie adults buying a child’s ticket for £1 and when noticed, this takes far longer to sort. Especially as those who try it on can argue. Card machine rarely has issues and the queue flows smoothly.

Everybody looking for a free lunch. It always amazes me how people try to get something for nothing. It happens at my school all the time. People try to skip the gate for middle school games all the time. We charge ~£4 for them and people will drive around buses, cones, etc. to attempt not to pay. Then tent want to argue...

That gate money is only used to pay for officials. The cheapest of them earn £28 per hour. Footy officials cost me £62 for an hour of total game time.

If anyone of the volunteers wants to contact me privately I will explain a major issue I found at the Kettering game. Not going to spell it out on here as dont want anyone taking advantage of it, not that I see it being so much of an issue for this Saturday's game

Might not be true for you, and if there is a problem with someone’s QR code I can see that taking time, but compared to fiddling with change, or waiting for a SumUp to find WiFi, I’ve always found during my 100+ shifts, a ticket or a ST are far quicker.

Hopefully, if anyone tried to cheat “their” Club out of money and was caught, they’d be named and shamed!

More like Tarred and Feathered! I know if like, at a minimum, name and shame my turnstile jumpers!
