Games will be straight to pens until the 1st Round and if any team can't play because of Covid they forfeit the tie.

So literally a 90min match, NO 30min extra time. Straight to Pens.

Andrew Adebowale, Hannah, Hoskins, Kirkup, Mainwaring, Tucker, Wollen.
 Danny ANDREW, Jake ANDREWS.

Good decision, as long as it doesn’t continue apart from the 1rst round.

1st round onward it is extra time then pens.

The COVID KO rule seems unfair.

Looks like the winners in the FA Cup this year will be the lawyers.

Not sure they have a choice though given how quickly they have to squeeze in the games.

There is a choice, but it would end up with enormous backloggery.

Not saying I disagree with it, but if a 'minnow' were in a replay with the winners going away to Man United in a once in a lifetime occassion/payday, and they had to isolate for a fortnight because of a few positive cases in the camp then they would find it unfair.

Imagine if it was City.

Some bigger clubs with more financial clout will go to the courts I reckon.

How did football get to this

There aren't any replays so that can't happen. I'm not saying it is right either and you can easily see it being a factor at some point. We just have to hope our players are sensible although as we sure in Scotland even SPL players didn't use common sense.

The negative is that of no replays for lower league sides if they get a bigger team in the cup, watch us this year get a 1-1 draw at MP vs Man U and we lose on penalties!
