Grants not loans, so not shifting the problem later down the road

The club are obviously fully aware of the ongoing saga and will be able to confirm details in due course

Emergency grants, unconfirmed amounts, unconfirmed division of said grant.
Government working “...at pace...to design a package...” so some poor underpaid sod that knows how to use excel has been left with that request in their inbox at 9pm last night.
Good to have confirmation though, hopefully we can survive this.

The BBC reports the relevant minister as saying the grants will be "absolutely focussed on gate receipts". The trick for Alex will be to persuade the powers that be that last season's average attendances at Evesham (421, thanks largely to Hereford) are absolutely unrepresentative of what might have been expected at Meadow Park. Fortunately we can point to the volume of season ticket sales but even if a figure of 800 was accepted as reasonable that would have only put as at Number 23 out of the 43 NLS/N clubs, based on last season's figures, and above only Boreham Wood in the National League. Fingers crossed AP can work his magic again.

Nice to be kept in loop with things here! Although I’m not sure the statement from the DCMS does suggest funding for will be based from the previous season.

Certainly seems the league don’t feel that’s the case, hopefully it won’t be. Just a shame that they still haven’t given the details of anything. It’s completely ridiculous.

I think it’s a fair way to look at it for clubs with a life for like figure vs Last year, but obviously are case is completely different, Alex has a strong case to prove that 850 is a minimum average.450 ST holders with no away fans plus floater fans which can now watch now Were back in Gloucester Plus ground hoppers wanted to visit a new stadium.
