Was it a real thing? Urban myth I reckon.
No it wasn't Joe?twice I had to go home and get my Mrs large garden pump to clear the water level's from that corner at the old T End ?that pump was a bloody pain in the back side ?It even got pinched once.

I remember that picture, one of your classics Neil.
I don't think there was a Meadow Park pump but one for the Sudmeadow Road area, which failed during 2007 event. I think it was quite literally inundated.
Sorry shandy the pump for the pitch was in concrete pit at the side of the T End and nothing to do with the sudmeadow road pump ?In fact there was two pumps at M Park, one to pump toilet waste and sink waste to a level to sudmeadow rd and the other to clear excess water from the drainage system the club always had trouble with both??
The T End pump was about six foot to the right at the corner end where knighter was photographed? When it was working it would pump the water into the brook that ran around the out side pitches and then in to the river Severn at a very fast rate?that of course when it was working.
