Obviously need best man for the job, but a name known to many could help encourage more supporters and interest and the Solihull Moors’ link is an interesting one, assuming our existing players get on with him.

salary could be an issue and may explain some of JR’s desire for a move; I sure Alex said he gave up some of his own salary to boost the budget and we’ll still need to balance the books. Good point by TM2.0 about depth of squad as majority of budget has gone into the ‘starting 11’.

I think Tim Flowers would be a good appointment.

I agree - he almost got Solihull Moors promotion, reaching 2nd place in the NL. Would he be interested in us though?

Perhaps the question should be: "why wouldn't he?"

We're sitting at the top of NLN and have a good infrastructure in place.  We have a Chairman who actively backs the manager, together with a loyal and vociferous fanbase.

His CV (apart from Sollihull isn’t great) but certainly would have decent contacts and if Daly gives the thumbs up it could work.

He has only managed one other club though although I agree he was awful at Stafford. He's clearly learnt a lot in the gap in between those two clubs and we will surely be more appealing than Macclesfield who he was set to manage this season. I'd be very surprised if he didn't apply. Going to be lots of other good managers though applying as well.

His first game at Stafford was the day that Bob meadows tried to steal a pint from the bar.

Remember watching GCAFC at Stafford Rangers when Tim Flowers was Manager. Matt Elliott was the Number 2. Was Matt part of the Coaching staff at Solihull? If Tim Flowers was to become our manager, would Matt be part of the set-up?

Andrew Adebowale, Hannah, Hoskins, Kirkup, Mainwaring, Tucker, Wollen.
 Danny ANDREW, Jake ANDREWS.
