I'm normally sceptical of conspiracy theories but the new chairman of Maldon (Ron Dangerfield) is an experienced football administrator who will have lots of contacts with the local and national FA.
The previous very long serving chairman resigned in October as he was so cheesed off by the decision to cancel relegation and promotion in Step 3 and below, followed, earlier this month, by the resignation of the Clubs long term secretary, a role which Mr Dangerfield has also taken on.
Can't help thinking that their previous administration would have handled things more sympathetically.
