GCAFC Players that never scored a goal.
#1

This is a Thread referring to GCAFC Players that never scored a goal. The player would have to have been at the Club for more than one season. Does not include Pre Season, Testimonial matches.
A Player that sprung to mind was Mike Green, (right back). He was a consistent, reliable right back. Based on Tiger Roar Info, he started for us in the 2010/11 Season, and went onto play for us for a few seasons. He made 200 Appearances.

Andrew Adebowale, Hannah, Hoskins, Kirkup, Mainwaring, Tucker, Wollen.
 Danny ANDREW, Jake ANDREWS.

Pretty much any of the keepers, apart from Matt Bath, who scored the first goal of the season one year.

A player that was at GCAFC, (before I began watching them), is Ian Hedges, (defender). With help from TR, he made 80 appearances. His first season was the 1987/88 season. Had a few seasons at GCAFC then went to AFC Bournemouth. Did not score for us.

I thought he was a superb player.

Sticking around a while yet, thanks to a gift from a generous angel.

A formidable centre-back pairing with Dave Benson. Used to choke opposing strikers

One keeper you can take off Bob's list is Tim Harris. Someone told me this story when I was delivering Top Trump packs this time last year, goes something like this.

City in the 70s went to one away game (somewhere like Gosport or that way) with just a bare XI, and two of those were keepers. The future managerial behemoth must have been put out at not being chosen between the sticks, but up front, out of the way.

Until he only went and banged one in!

Tim scored in a Noddy cup game IIRC. I'm sure I sent him a text to ask him when I discovered it!
