When we started life in the Blue Square North at Southport in August 2009 it was six years since our previous visit to Haig Avenue in the FA Trophy in 2003.
It is now 12 years since our visit in 2009.
God I'm getting old. Quickly.

This must be one of the longest periods we’ve gone without being relegated or promoted. Ironically during one of the periods of biggest instability.

Just been looking at GCAFC Twitter, it asks for people's memories of the Opening Day match in August 2009.
I went to the match on the Supporters Coach. It felt like we were in a completely new league, as we made the trip to the North West. It was a far cry from previous seasons, where in the Southern League Premier, we were playing teams closer geographically. Teams such as Chippenham Town, Swindon Supermarine, Brackley Town, Oxford City etc.
We got caught up in traffic on the M6, we arrived at the ground just after kick Off. As I was going through the turnstile, Mike Symons scored to put us 1 - 0 up. This was our first goal scored in National League North.
We went onto lose 3 - 2. After the match we were in the Bar. I overheard some Southport Supporters talking to each other. I heard one of them say, "I don't think they will last long in this league" (Gloucester City). Well I have News for that Supporter, we have been in the National League North/South for 12 years, had one of the lowest wage bills, been in exile playing home games at different grounds, one home ground being in a different County. Won National League North Player and Manager of the Month Awards.
Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

Hello. Sorry this might sound like a stupid question. Been reading on GCAFC Twitter about prepurchasing Tickets for the Southport FC march. It says about buying online and printing your ticket, or having it on your phone. I will purchase a ticket and have it on my phone. Presume that you can purchase a ticket at the ground, or can you pay with cash at the turnstile.
It also recommends prepurchasing the Official Matchday Programme, which I will do.
Have not been on the Southport FC website yet, so could get all the answers that I need.
Will this be the case with away National League North matches that you may need to pre-purchase a ticket? Imagine if would make sense if you are going to Hereford or Kidderminster.

Andrew it's been said many times on here and social media by AP that the league want fans to buy tickets in advance so clubs are doing all they can to encourage that.

100% thanks Lee.
We are completely hands tied ... e-tickets is the future ... please embrace it, it's here to stay. It's not us pushing for it, it's the league and SAGs (Safety Advisory Groups). It will be cheaper at most clubs to by e-tickets rather then on the turnstiles, so please please save your money and time ... and BUY E-TICKETS
