GCAFC vs Farsley Celtic - 13th Nov 2021
#1

Our league form: DWLLLLLDLDLL
Farsley league form: WDDDLLLWLWLLD
2 weeks off for us, hopefully we have been working hard on set-pieces and closing games out!
They have just appointed Neil Ross as permanent manager after being in interim charge, having stepped up from managing their U23s to fill the gap left by Adam Lakeland moving to Curzon 2 weeks ago.
Their away form: WDLLLLL - scoring 5, conceding 18.
On World Kindness Day - lets hope their defence is as kind to us as they have been to others!

The two worse defenses in the league, could come down to who makes the least mistakes on the day.

Blyth are away at Kettering, Telford away at Kiddy, Guiseley at home to Hereford.
Depending on results, we could climb off the bottom for the day. With Blyth then playing on Tuesday away at Hereford, we definitely need a win.

Lets hope it's a better crowd than these fixtures have attracted in the past!

Looking at those available I wonder if an old fashioned 4-4-2 might be on the cards tomorrow:

Cole/Armstrong
Leadbitter Harrison Thompson Galvin
Tomlinson Sheaf Tommy O Young
DNW McClure (assuming fit)

They (Farsley) will more than likely play a 3/5 at the back and be very compact, lots of long diagonal balls back to front quickly, lots of efforts from distance. Kev & Fab have started every match of Lee's tenure so far so it will be interesting to see how we shape up.

I would play 4-3-3

Team as above but I might play DNW Mensa Matty as the forward three Mensa to replace Tomlinson.
The team owing to lack of numbers almost picks itself.

Shockingly I had completely forgotten about Mensah - I agree I would play him probably in place of Tomlinson as well, or maybe Young.
