City Women v Longlevens
#1

This is a big game for both sides this afternoon.  Not only is it a local derby but both teams could do with the points.  City, fresh from last weeks inaugural League win will be looking to put some more space between us and our opponents to continue a climb up the League .  Longlevens will very much be looking to close the gap.

If you can get down then please do.  I am sure the team will very much welcome your encouragement and support.

Circumstances prevent K and I attending this one so am hopeful somebody else will be able to post up a post match report on here.

Good day today, I was at MP for more than five hours!

2-1 win for the Dev XI and a 3-1 win for the First XI. The second game was much better. Goalscorers were Tegan 2 in the first and Kate Ambrey 3 in the second.

Only saw the 1st team but they’re getting better with every game. Strong performance today and several individual performances were exceptional I thought.

Very long afternoon for the players, kick off was delayed by 20 minutes, half time was only about 6/7 minutes and then the second half had 17 minutes of injury time. Hope the two players who had to go off are okay, looked like nasty injuries.

Would appreciate any news on Chloe (our first team analyst) injury as I believe she was taken to A and E. Also the Longlevens player who was helped from the pitch with a knee injury. Both injuries occurred from non contact but appeared quite serious.
Also congratulations to our ladies on a fine hard fought win. Great support and a thoroughly entertaining afternoon. Special mention to Charlie who makes the occasion very special from the blue box.

I’ve heard that Chloe has popped her ankle and it looks like ligament damage. Very painful, but she’s ok.

No idea about the opposition player.

Sticking around a while yet, thanks to a gift from a generous angel.
