Roary

Just a post of appreciation for Roary the Tiger.

He really adds to the atmosphere, the kids seem to love him, even the bigger kids love him too. Seeing his dance moves is always fun and with some of the youngsters in the crowd he might even learn some more!

Roary is a better mascot than Wadney the Robin, (I think that is what he is called). Seen the Forest Green Rovers Devil mascot? Thought FGR might have an Eco mascot. Made from recycled materials, wearing bamboo shinpads.

Andrew Adebowale, Hannah, Hoskins, Kirkup, Mainwaring, Tucker, Wollen.

The chairman’s (chairperson?) dress sense may be an experiment in finding suitable mascot attire.

I have said elsewhere he is one of the biggest positives of the season. The club need to look after him and make sure he remains happy doing it. It is a really tough gig, quite lonely in there sometimes. Not easy to maintain those sorts of interactions for c.2hrs.

Tigers are solitary animals, make sure he has plenty of food and water and a nice straw bed and he will be fine.???

Nice to hear it’s not all doom and gloom

Pretty sure if you review all my posts on here and social media you’ll find quite a mix. We all have are moments / periods of doubt though, don’t we?

Sticking around a while yet, thanks to a gift from a generous angel.
