It’s going to be a right old battle on Saturday, and I think the players can safely leave their moulded stud boots at home for this one!!

as the NLP says rather demurely, "Conditions were difficult throughout, with the pitch resembling a mud bath, but the Celts kept fighting..."
Reminds me of plock court on a good day.

What a shocker of a pitch! Looks even worse than Horton Road whilst they were building there! I don't hold out much hope of our spoilt team being able to play on it.
Could suit us....might hold up some of those long balls from the back we've become so keen on!
Wondering if our artificial pitch has been a benefit to us this season - or more to the advantage of some of our opponents? There are clear benefits to artificial pitches in terms of weather, but there are also cons around increased risk of injury, some dubious medical concerns, and speed/control of the ball - it moves much quicker on artificial turf. Am not blaming the pitch for our misfortunes, but...! Interesting that in the Netherlands bigger clubs paid smaller clubs to tear up their plastic pitches - but there's an industry involved in promoting its use here, so don't see that happening any time soon.
One of the Legends commented to me how the pitch was really hard. Is that usual for 3G?
It didn’t do Harrogate any harm
They train on it 3/4 times a week, you would think they would know how to play on it
Lost count of the number of times Nugent just launched an aimless ball forward on Saturday for it to just run away from our forwards and out for a goal kick.
