Good to see this finally making it's way through the system with The Football Governance Bill being published. Only applies down to National League but interesting to note that clubs will be required to consult on things like a change of crest, colours or sale of the home ground. Despite it not covering us, it would give us more clout when objecting to any changes that had been made without consultation.
I still find it hard to take that the club's colours were changed without consultation, and the crest. I'm personally a bigger fan of one of those changes than the other, but not being asked stings the most.

Agree. It does say down to NL but not clear whether it's both levels of NL or just the upper tier (not that either are likely to affect us).
The Trust gave evidence to Tracy Crouch ( very keen on non league football especially Dartford FC) along with Hereford, among others, from the NLN and S . There's a presumption (only that) that in practice it applies to the NLN and NLS as must obviously be the case in a genuine pyramid structure. BUT there's no guarantee that any of this will actually make the statute book as the government has dithered so long before the announcement that there may well not be an opportunity to introduce and rubber stamp the Bill before the next Election.
It looks like labour are supportive of the general idea. So if not in this parliament, will be in the next.
Something has to be done about the premier league. Still no deal with the EFL. How much money do those clubs want. The relegated clubs to the championship get so much money it makes the competition almost unfair.
It's only because we've got super Kieran McKenna and have broken all records for a promoted league 1 club that's upsetting the order of things.

Yes! How can there ever be a properly competitive pyramid when the system and media/bookmaker revenue is designed to consolidate the position of the top 6 or so clubs and to allow a few chosen ones to occasionally launch a plucky but doomed attempt to break in? The sooner the Super League gets the go ahead the better.
