The day has dawned.

It's a tournament we've been looking forwards to in our house for quite some time. I'm sure the same is true for many others, though I appreciate not all.  Hopefully come the last kick there will be a few more folk who start to show an interest in the women's game.

England start with a full squad and excellent preparation which is all you can hope for.  Can we win it?  Yes, but it's a long and winding road before the final and quite a few others fancy their chances too.  The weight of expectation brings its own pressure and whoever we get post the group stage (we really ought to get out of our group) is going to be tough.

Wishing good luck and happy memories to a few folk who may well read the CoF who are making the trip to Manchester tonight.  Have fun

Came across this on YouTube. 1997 FA Trophy Final, Dagenham and Redbridge V Woking. Watching this made me feel sad, the thought of that could have been us in Dagenham's position. I was imagining the Gloucester players there instead of the D&R players. The perfect stage for Adie Mings and Dale Watkins, (but Dale got Sent Off in the Semi Final at Slough. Would he have been able to play)?
Would have been great to have seen Leroy Rosenior, Chris Burns, David Coles have there day at Wembley.
Sure the Gloucester fans would have made it a day to remember, outsinging the Woking fans.
 So close, yet so far.

I liek my trains etc etc, many of you use them without liking them, some of you go to London on them, from Gloucester. Believe it or not this is what the line looks like as it weaves it's way through Chalford between Stroud and Kemble.

Not exactly sure where this is in Gloucester and looks like someone is pretty brave to have this on (what looks like) the side of their house!

Anyone fancy getting a Gloucester City one?

I’ve received an incredibly generously donated liver, and recovering in the ICU of London Royal Free Hospital.

Looks like my season ticket will present value after all! Big Grin

So watching a couple of the videos popped up by the media team and comments from the gaffer. Does anyone know who any of our trialists are?

Apparently, Matt McClure stuck a picture up to identify one of them on IG?

Once upon a time, when computers only existed on Thunderbirds and Sky was the place full of bugs and birds, a young football fans life revolved around a plastic football, The Big Match highlights on Sunday afternoon, comics and the Shoot League Table ladder.  Happy Days.

Today I came across this:

Look what I found on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/12464293...hare_v4_lx

Order placed. A winter of nostalgia awaits.

Anybody else remember these back in the day?

With the latest covid variant on the rise again, with hospital admissions on the rise with 8,000 now per week !  Will the league be disrupted again . Most people know the omnicom variant is not so deadly or so debilitating  as the first out brake of covid but it could change with another change in the virus .I wonder if the management of the N L have made any plans  if things have to change ?
The way things are going it could be another  disrupted season IMO.
Hope not but not holding my breath as it's not over till it's over.
