Today's King's Speech included proposals to introduce an independent football regulator. Details include no change of club colours and badges, etc, without fans' majority consent. Perversely, only the top 5 leagues are expected to be directly covered (at first, anyway) which appears to mean that any owner wanting to put their unique stamp on a club's heritage against fans' wishes will need to do so before their new toy gets to the National League...
