Departures - MeadowClark - 08-02-2024

Harry Leeson has gone back to his parent club, and Liam Armstrong has been released.

RE: Departures - Tigermatty 2.0 - 08-02-2024

Good luck to Liam, a thoroughly nice person who gave nothing less than 100% for us. Some crucial saves against Chorley last season kept us in the game.

TP1 - TP1 - 08-02-2024

Liam just never seemed to be able to become first choice for any of the last four managers.

Shame to lose Leeson, he was decent, and it’s not helpful to have to bring in a new defender at this stage of the season.

RE: Departures - Neil - 08-02-2024

Sorry to see Liam go but he was never going to be trusted to play every week so if he wanted to go then I don't blame him. I'm concerned at how slight the new keeper looks, I'd like to think that he's more agile to make up for it but we'll see.

Is Brandon Liggett still here or has he been sent back too?

RE: Departures - Prorsum Semper - 08-02-2024

Good luck Liam, Had quite a few moments where he was always hard done by imo ,but never complained publicly which shows great respect for the fans.
Go and prove a few people wrong in your new club.
I suppose being dropped for an 18yo loan player was the last straw.

I never rated Leeson, thought that too many goals came from down his side. Armstrong hasn’t been fancied by four managers now so there must be a reason there. Good luck to them both in the future.

I think whoever we replace Armstrong with will be a good showing of where we are. If Jeacock is coming in then perfect, but if we’re sticking with the kid who looked pretty ropey on the Chorley highlights then I’ll be worried.

I don't really want to dig out a youngster, because we've all had bad games, and I'm sure he must be a talented kid, but I really do not want to see him in the starting lineup for the next game.

watch the Hereford pitchside video when he was up against Ceesay, he barely got a foot in and when he won the ball it went straight back to their advancing left back.

RE: Departures - Fonzie - 08-02-2024

Surprised at Liam going, but not getting the nod even when we don't have a senior keeper must've hurt. That Chorley game will live long in memory and he was a massive part of it. Hope wherever he goes he smashes it, great lad.

Jury still very much out on Dennis. We don't really have time for a keeper to "settle in", they need to be good and it needs to be now.

Thought Leeson was okay but no more than that, was pretty much just a body/stop-gap IMO.

Having watched the Chorley highlights young Dennis has to do better with at least two of the goals. When he is beaten at his near post sorry not good enough and likewise their third goal he could and should have done better imo.
