Squad Next season - Prorsum Semper - 31-05-2024

Gk- Thompson

RWB- Mcgrory
CB- Duffus, BRE, Hamilton, Ball
LWB- Emmett

LM-
CM-Hanks, pinchard Grubb
RM-Parker

CF-Creed

Think there is a strong posibility Emmett Will play as a left wing back,Parker Will returns, Reckord and Miles Will leave.

12 signed on in the managers plans, would expect any more signings to be left/right sided and a CF,what is clear is we are in a lot better positon than this time last year( Squad wise Smile

The nucleus of the team is shaping up nicely. Good signings made, hopefully we can keep hold of Robinson and Smalley, both did well last season.

I didn't think Creed was an out and out striker. I expect he'll go out on loan next season to be fair. Technically Reckord is still on our books too.

RE: Squad Next season - Neil - 01-06-2024

Why should Creed go on loan and why should we expect another team to give him game time if we aren't prepared to do it? Keep him in and around the squad, play for the U18s too. Not too much too soon for him.

I’d imagine they plan to give him more exposure to men’s football at a slightly lower level. I can’t see him being a regular starter at 16. Hopefully he’ll prove me wrong!

The signings so far have been all hugely experienced players ( all over 30 yrs of age - im sure someone will find fault!) and we still need an experienced striker or two so we can hit the ground running. Do untried inexperienced youngsters have a place of course they do but being loaned out gets u game time which 10 minutes off the bench doesn’t. We’ve all seen EFL loan forwards who are plainly out of their depth at our level - no doubting technical ability or effort from any of them.

The one thing no one has mentioned yet is we’re also signing leaders. At times last season it felt like after we conceded everyone’s heads dropped and the players stopped talking.

We won’t be having that anymore, especially from Grubb. He ticks every single box.

Definitely this - reminds me of the sort of characters we signed under Boris, first and foremost mentality and personality had to be right. Basically no dickheads.

As long as that rule doesn’t extend to supporters?!?

And mentality trumps talent imo. But mix the two together…
