Fixtures - Sunday March 9 - Stable Lad - 05-03-2025

As we have a new page may as well give it a try!

Just now, the Pathway fixtures lists are full of very exciting weekends of football starting this Sunday when we have some cracking matches; albeit this time all away from the Tiger Turf.

Starting at the top of the Pathway; the Women's 1st team travel to Bitton 1st team in the Regen Arable League.  Our opponents sit in 2nd place in the league and are one of only a couple of sides that can still collect more points than us at the end of the season.  The sides met in the County Trophy a couple of weeks ago with City coming back from a goal down to win 2-1.  Our opponents are a good side and this promises to be a tough fixture.

The Reserves don't have a fixture this weekend but you can be sure that at 4.00 phones will be being checked and refreshed regularly as we look to see how Southmead get on in their home game.  They are the only side that can catch us in County Division 2 and to do that they need to win all of their remaining matches.

The other two games that jump off the page are in the County Cup where both our U13 Reds and U15s play in their respective finals.

Those thinking about coming down to the Tiger Turf to watch the Women's sides play; the next fixtures is on the 16th March when the 1st team entertain C********m Saracens in the County Trophy semi final; another big game.

If by some off chance somebody new finds this page.  The star marks on the word C********m are a default set by the Admin team and not reflective of what I've typed!  Also check out Inside City, the Club programme sold at Men's 1st XI games, which has 5 pages of news and reports covering the whole of the Pathway; sales also help raise funds for the Supporters Trust who in turn use their profits to help the Club.

PS. Despite what it says on the front page, I'm neither Admin or a Moderator

The 1st teams unbeaten run keeps rolling along with a 2-2 draw away to Bitton. The point edges that League Title just that bit closer to home.   Both County Cup games were excellent contests ; some excellent football played by some talented young players.  The U15s won their match 4-2. The U13 Reds came within a whisker of making it a double win but in the end lost to the only goal of the game.

More County Cup football next weekend with both the 1st and Reserves playing in the semi finals of their respective competitions
