Neither I would have thought. As I understand it, Tuffley Rovers can't build on their ground due to the vicinity of the old gas works. Longlevens, tucked away behind the Ibis Hotel might have a better chance, but who honestly would support them as against a club representing their city (quite a number as we observed at the cup match). Football at that level is a lumpen affair. It's fine to watch when City are away, but there is clearly quite a step up in class to our level, even with our current crop of players (I think...).

Probably easy for me as I don't live in Gloucester, but I would just carry on punting on NL football and get to different games as and when. I'd find it hard to care too much about a new club low down, but wouldn't say I wouldn't go and watch if I was back in Gloucester. Talk of Worcester in this thread and they are doing very well in the Vase this season.

I predicted at the start of the season they'll get to Wembley. It's never us is it?

Alleged WCFC had a large financial sum donated to them this year, they have a very good squad with the likes of Calvin Dinsley playing for them. A local builder is going to build them a new ground within a new mixed development

Looking at the sketches it will be a little like the level of current Glos city but with one less stand

I was chatting to Tim Harris earlier today. The first game he arrived there and got involved the attendance was 300 odd. They took about 1500 to the last away tie in the Vase.

Makes you think.

Sticking around a while yet, thanks to a gift from a generous angel.

How have they had all the problems they’ve had, dropped 3 leagues below us and are still coming back with a better stadium than us!

Note for any Worcester fans reading, getting a new ground comes with some stipulations: your club colours will now be changed to whatever the owner wants, your famous home end will be moved to the opposite end and renamed “the Bell-End” and there will be gaps so wide behind the goals that you could get a dozen ambulances through.

You forgot the potholes, dystopian landscape, changing rooms with no ventilation, a one foot high terraced stand which gives off more radiation than Chernobyl when the sun shines on it, and a ‘gym’ that you have to access through the back of the ladies toilets, which is in a shipping container. Oh and don’t even think about having a plan to market the club to the population of the city you’re coming back to, just hope people turn up and then base the playing budget around the imaginary attendance you need to get in order to make the unsustainable playing budget work.

I liked Calvin Dinsley although Tim Harris seemed to leave him on the bench more often than not.He is absolutely the sort of player we could have done with now, instead of someone currently who has taken 6 months to get near to the fitness required and seems intent on arguing with those around him.
