Northern Premier League - Lancaster City v Macclesfield
#1

Saw on the Non League pages on Facebook that 500-600 Macclesfield fans went to Lancaster City with only 4 stewards at the ground and no segregation - inevitably problems ensued. Police were called later on and the game was completed.

I've read that there were issues at the first fixture at Macclesfield so this could've been avoided, especially when teams know that they travel in large numbers.

Couldn't link the Facebook pages but there is context in the vlog below

What use would more stewards have been? We have or had proper paid stewards at City and when there was trouble at a game last year (Scunthorpe I think) in the T-End they stood by and did nothing.

Sadly not the first time Robbie Savage has had to reason with some of Macclesfield followers. An embarrassment really for Lancaster- no segregation- absolute minimal stewarding . Disorder waiting to happen.
