Amazing to think that York were only 7 points above us at the start of February

Congratulations to Dorking who achieved the unusual feat of a 100th minute equaliser v Ebbsfleet followed by a 97th minute winner to join York in the National League.

Indeed well done I listened to the York game. Well done to them as well.

I listened to the BBC Surrey coverage of the Dorking game good fairly impartial commentary.
Have to hand it to Dorking who have scored over 100 goals this season. They formed in 1999 in the Crawley and District league 5th division! - some level of promotions that.....

I forgot to add Dorking are owned AND managed by Marc White and have been since they formed in 1999, unbelievable fact that.

Just read up on Dorking. What a story! Started by disgruntled Wimbledon fans playing themselves, to getting promotion on promotion. Reading between the lines it sounds like the owner / manager has a few business contacts that gave them a head start, but even so an impressive feat.

Oh yes they are certainly well funded. Will be interesting to see if he can fund them to the next level.

Great story. I used to occasionally watch the now defunct Dorking FC in front of 40 or 50 at Meadowbank back in the 80s.. What Marc White and his supporters has achieved is incredible. Ironic that their defeated opponents Ebbsfleet with their Middle Eastern backers and highly rated foreign manager have gone from being a model 'phoenix' club (they were fully owned and run by their fans) to an ownership structure that wouldn't look out of place in the Championship.
