Very positive, hopefully we can build on this.
Absolutely. Braintree were decent but with a makeshift midfield and Harry Emmett again showing his promise despite having to fill in at fullback that was something to lift everyone's spirits. Ben Beresford is a serious prospect, please may we keep him!  Hope Hanksy's ok...

Excellent result and performance, however it was noticeable the difference between NLN and NLS teams in style of play which IMO suited us today. The only disappointment was the crowd. Less than 500

2 seasons ago we were home to Kettering at the same stage and had a crowd of about 300, so 450-odd is pretty good by comparison. We were doing pretty badly on the pitch that season too, so it’s a decent comparison.  And we won that game 3-0 as well - spooky!

IIRC I recall people saying how they'd tonk us a few weeks ago. They didn't.

This team isn't dead and buried yet. We played well at Brackley and we played well today. Just a shame that this wasn't a league game, the three points would've been handy!

.

Excellent win, played some excellent football, did not give the ball away, passed to our own players and there were some very good runs with the ball as well!

The ref was very good, no yellow cards handed out, he just had a word a few times, ref was in charge!
Their shooting left a lot to be desired, thank goodness!
Hope our injured players are not too badly injured!

Onwards and upwards to infinity and beyond!

Which bit did I get wrong Neil - presume it was the crowd?

I remember the city stand laughing in unison when that was announced as it was probably double.

Fair play to the lads on a great result, a welcome relief from the league
