Apparently, but my guess is he wouldn't be on much money and it was probably just part of the budget from players leaving. The lack of money invested in the club at the moment is pretty clear.

Why do you assume things?

leave the management of the club to the B.O.D, the most important thing is that we have a club next year. Just look at Nuneaton FC!

That's why I want to know what is going on so we do have a club next year. Quite a lot surrounded in mystery right now and things need to be made public so supporters of the club know what is actually going on.

Ah, ok, I expect most on here assumed you were just getting your daily fix of criticising AP.  I don’t think you’ll get the answers you’re looking for on here as no one in an official capacity is on here. One to direct to the fans reps I guess.

re Theo Robinson …when were strikers ever cheap? They are usually amongst the best paid players.

I will certainly be asking for clarification about the club ownership situation via the Supporters Trust representative. Every single fan has a right to know who owns the club which we give our money and time to.

Where in the original post am I having a pop at Alex. I want words from him and to know what is going on and to why he has been so silent. I know for a fact he certainly used to look on here and wouldn't surprise me if he still does.

As for Theo my given he last played in May and didn't have a club I can't believe he was that expensive. Just an educated guess.

Putting aside where the blame for this annus horribilis aside, this is utterly key.  Not just from a supporters perspective but if we ever want to attract new owners or investors.  No one is going to purchase or invest in a football club they don't know the ownership of.

Granted if someone was to come in, clearly ownership etc would all come out in any due diligence, so in theory the people that need to know will know.  But how many prospective investors simply wouldn't come forward in the first place as it isn't initially clear who they'd be dealing with.

How did the "debt" the chambers found not come out in their due diligence?

For starters the company that the Chambers were appointed directors of was a new company Gloucester City AFC Ltd. This company had no debts. However, if you wanted to own the club then owning this company wouldn’t do you any good. Gloucester City AFC 1980 Ltd is the incorporated body which owns the football club, and that company had debts as of June 2022.

Then you’ve got things like unpaid utility bills, money owed to other clubs for loan players, money owed to players from last season, it’s hard to know every skeleton that comes out of the closet.

Either the Chambers are very naive business people or AP and EM didn't disclose the debt it has to be one option or the other, unless some hidden debt occurred AFTER the take over of the football club.
What staggers me really is if the football side was a take over I can't understand quite how the ground owners can sack the apparent owners of the football side?
Seems to be a lot of smoke and mirrors around and I can see ONLY a complete take over of the club including ownership of the ground asset is the way forward, I'm not holding my breath on the sale in total.
We see many clubs in difficult positions with a different ground owner to football club owner, in fact too many to mention sadly.
