As someone how spends his day jobs creating algorithms I'm surprised they've gone in for such a basic formula and used such a broad brush. I can see why some of the "bigger" clubs aren't happy, and the likes of Curzon, Hungerford, etc are quids in (as we would have been if we were still on one of the lowest budgets in the league and only getting a few hundred fans at Evesham as we were a few years back). I do think whatever criteria they'd have used people would be complaining, so don't entirely blame them for keeping things super-simple. They were going to lose either way.

From a City point of view, I feared we'd have got much less when there was talk of basing things on last season's attendances, so I'm somewhat relieved.

Lastly, I believe the idea of this grant was to stop clubs going to the wall, which I think it will achieve, so I guess it's ultimately doing its job.

Notts County CEO has said this.

On Monday I will be speaking with Lilian Greenwood MP to ask for her support, alongside other MPs, in demanding the National League revisit their decision and distribute these very welcome funds in a manner which meets their mandated use. While we are of course grateful to receive this help and accepting of the fact we may not recover all our losses, we cannot accept other clubs profiting from the grant while many others are left short. I would like to thank Lilian in advance for her support and assistance in this matter.

Wonder if the bigger clubs will get things changed.

Funny how the richer clubs want to be richer! I think we've been hard done by because the poorer clubs in the league above are rolling around in cash compared to us on the bottom rung.

There speaks a man who when he was on the Board and his Club were in the top flight supported 70% for the split. North and South only got 30%. And people forget that streaming can now take place at 3pm on a Saturday meaning the bigger clubs will now be reaping those lucrative incomes pots, which was never in their budgets. Just work that out on £7 - £10 a go as a basic.

Self interest clearly shines through by wanting more money to pay for players.

And pray tell me ODG where did you get the maths from to claim (disgracefully in my opinion) that £13k of Lottery money went in consultancy fees. I would be interested to know on what basis of fact you make such a statement? As it has no substance.

And people have worked their butts off to get this money with one intention. To ensure the 66 clubs in the WHOLE of the National League start and more importantly finish the season intact and remaining a pivotal part of their respective communities. It’s not all about on the field.

It seems to my personal observations there is a wealth (excuse the pun) of ungrateful ******** in this world.

Whatever the split was people were going to moan, there are no winners in this only losers. We have a figure we can plan with now at least and work out how we're going to get through the next few months.

I think you are overplaying the money clubs will be making from streaming. Some clubs are even doing it for free.

Good to have frank and honest views from all four sides of the triangle.

Bloody hell, you've got good eyesight!
