We only need and want people that are interested in us and want the best for the club. I have only started ignoring calls this week over what's happened recently, not for the past 2 years ....

Problem is at the moment that is a pretty small amount of people.

But it’s people who care that’s what matters

Partly yes, but if we are still struggling to get 300 once we go back home then what do we do? Alex spoke about the badge change and the colour change as being about attracting new fans, but turning against the press goes against that. If we want to progress as a club we aren't going to do that with just the same people that care at the moment.

Remember when we played in Gloucester
We never had crowds of only 300 and that
Was at a time where the only real communication
Outlets were the Citizen, pink un and teletext.
How things have changed since then add to the fact
that since 2008 Gloucester has been the fastest growing City or town and has added 10000 more
To its numbers with most of those under 40,There’s
So much that has changed since the excile something tells me we will be more than alright.

For what it’s worth an excellent almost 3 page article in this weeks Citizen about our nearly season with Jon Holloway.

That was online and it had C********m Town in the headline. If they are so desperate for clicks they should put "free sex" instead of the C word.

At the end of the day it's simple bias because those in the media are Chelt fans. To be fair if I was in their position I wouldn't want to write about my local rivals either.

Who can forget that massive photo of Mark Halliwell celebrating a Chelt goal in the back pages of the Citizen?

We haven't played in Gloucester since 2007 though. That's a long time to be away and that is a long time for people to get out of the habit of going. So what that Gloucester has added 10000 more people doesn't mean they want to go and watch Non-League football when C********m and FGR are close by. It is going to be hard work attracting new fans and those that have barely been in the last 13 years. You would like to think we could get 4 figures for our first game back, but I do wonder what sort of crowds we will get on a regular basis. Only working with Seven Sport and doing updates that have in jokes for hardcore fans is going to do very little to change that.

One problem that we had prior to 2007 was accessibility to the ground on public transport. When we return we'll have the No8 bus from The P&R at Naas Lane via Kingsway stopping at Sainsbury's and coming from Brockworth, Coopers Edge, Abbeymead and town in the other direction.
