Just noticed a tweet from them, didn't realise that they were in the Hellenic League now.

They were one of the first opponents that I saw City play (4-0 in the FA Cup) and they were of their standard at the time so always found it galling that they had the edge over us during Burnsy's tenure. Nice to see that the status quo has been restored. No wonder Danny West has bought a season ticket at Weston!

And you’ve never forgiven them for the golden goal incident

What’s that then?

I can’t remember him ever mentioning it? Big Grin

.

Yes but! They had a certain Edwards and Seal in their team, plus a few tasty others and they always seemed to score when playing up the hill!

For once I wasn't even thinking of that scandal.

Andy Hoskins was top scorer in the 2003/04 season but was almost beaten by Seal who scored something like five goals in the last game.

Danny West - there's a blast from the past. There was no more passionate fan of the Mangoes, so I wonder why he ended up with a season ticket at Weston?

And a young Jack Pitcher.

We had some good battles with the Mangos. I remember a good 4-3 win down at Cossham Street in an absolute mud bath.

Boris was there manager a few years ago, and Razor Ray Johnstone for a bit last season.

Funny you mention them, I went with Dad last night to RWB and they were playing Mangotsfield. How the mighty have fallen, to think we used to get beat by that lot. We were thinking there might be some ex-City players still in the line-up, but didn't recognise anyone and I don't think they created a single clear opportunity all game.
