Hereford legend has passed away. Ironically ahead of their big cup game against Pompey. No doubt would've been a big talking point and maybe guest for the broadcast?

I don't really mind them. Considering the close proximity I'd never been there and my first ever visit to Edgar Street was last year, under the lights, which always makes it better.

Went there, I think they're end was called the meadow end, I think boxing day 1969. a very violent day, lots of fighting between them and us supporters, remember John Charles punching John Stevens for getting under his skin and the ref so weak wouldn't even talk to him let alone send him off. Still hate them.
Going off topic now and just as a bit of interest, many years ago trying to think probably around 1991, I refereed an Army cup replay under lights at Edgar Street between 22 SAS and SEME Bordon, the final score 3-4 with six of the goals scored from outside of the box, attendance was not great as you can understand it wasn't advertised for security reasons, probably 200 watching but a great advert for Army football.

I remember travelling to Edgar Street on the team coach in the late 50s (you could in those days) to watch City lose 1-5.
Also remember watching the Hereford-Newcastle game on MOTD in 1972.
I'm old!
