Well that's the Ashes ruined. I can't watch another minute of that.

Classic rule book vs spirit debate cricket loves to throw up now and again. Normally I'm on the side of if it's in the rules you can't really complain, but given some of the catches being claimed do far this series, as well as that today, I'm finding it hard not to bear some ill will towards Messrs Carey, Starc, Cummins etc al.
That being said we've shot ourselves in the foot a lot these last two tests, and I'm probably just as annoyed about that.

What irritates me the most is the way the Aussies are acting. After sandpaper gate, Langer came in, cleaned things up and actually made them seem like a humble group of decent blokes.
Not now, back to their old ways. Cannot stand them, and it runs through the whole of Australian cricket, not just one or two bad eggs.
And 3 MCC members getting their memberships suspended due to arguing with David Warner of all people.... hmmmm....

I do feel like it's something Cummins is going to regret one day. Ever since the incident he's look like a rabbit in the headlights and completely out of his depth. Even down to the interviews after the match on Sky and TMS, Cummins didn't really seem to know what to say and just kind of smirked it off. Surely you should realise you've messed up when the Long Room of all places makes Millwall away look tame!
Hope it adds a little bit of needle and spice to things now. I'm still a huge fan of Baz-ball but England have been overly friendly and overly nice when it clearly isn't reciprocated. Leave that niceness for day 5 of the 5th Test.
Completely agree with you re McGrath, idiotic would be generous.

What made this so wrong for me was the fact that Carey threw the ball when Bairstow was clearly in his crease, there was no reason to do it. Had Bairstow been out of his crease then there would be no arguments.
If we bowl first in the next Test I'd have the bowler attempt a mankad for ever single delivery so it remains 0/0 after five days.

It sets a horrible precedent, in cricket the ball is in and out of play hundreds if not thousands of times with an unspoken agreement that neither team should use that grey area to their advantage. Let’s see how they like it when we stump them every time the batsman isn’t in his crease, the game would quickly descend into chaos.
“There’s a mole. Right at the top of the circus. He’s been there for years.”
