Forest Green Rovers seem to attract star names to the club.
After Duncan Ferguson's stint as Manager, Troy Deeney has joined as player / coach. Back in the 1990's, they had ex Aston Villa players Nigel Spink and Tony Daley in there Team.
I was listening to Radio Gloucestershire some time ago. Dirk Benedict, 'Face' from 'The A-Team', was at the New Lawn. (His Son was also there). His Son had produced shin pads, made from Bamboo.

Andrew Adebowale, Hannah, Hoskins, Kirkup, Mainwaring, Tucker, Wollen.

I wonder what could possibly attract these big names?
Must be the ethos of the “Club”.

Sticking around a while yet, thanks to a gift from a generous angel.

Troy Deeney had an Up and Down sort of a day. He scores a hatrick for Forest Green Rovers, at Notts County, Meadow Lane.
He gets the Matchball, but FGR lose 4 - 3. An empty feeling of a hatrick.

If we could afford him, I'd happily see him up front for us  Wink
