Which players would make last year’s starting XI?

Was just thinking about this, expecting the answer to my own question to be “none”.  But actually, I’m convinced Jeacock would be in, and I reckon BRE would too. Max Ram is showing early signs of being a contender too.

Does anyone disagree with those, or want to pitch for others? Can be on as yet unrealised potential if you want.

Joe Hanks in the right system would, just not playing hoof ball missing out mid field!

Definitely Jeacock and BRE. Suspect Pinchard would have a good shout too.

Apart from jeacock absolutely none of them pinchard really? Worst midfield we have had in a long time. Can't believe I actually think we are missing O'Sullivan.
Let's see what Saturday brings

This player was a bit - part at the start of last season. Tre Mitford, or Danny Wright? Alright, Danny is 10 years older than Tre. If Danny had Matt McClure or Kieran Phillips alongside him, would be a good target man.

Andrew Adebowale, Hannah, Hoskins, Kirkup, Mainwaring, Tucker, Wollen.
 Danny ANDREW, Jake ANDREWS.

A really tough question for me as the style of football right now is world's apart.  I have a hunch that players like Pinchard, Hanks, Harry Williams would have done really well in last years team, but it can be no more than a hunch, because they currently look like passengers due to the way they are being asked to play.

There are then people like BRE and Jeacock who would definitely get in based on the way they are playing.

Perhaps controversially I think our recruitment may actually have been quite good this summer in the circumstances.  I am really hoping that the football right now is a means to an end (not a very good end at this point), and that it will improve as the squad gel and Flowers gets more time to implement his ideas (assuming the football right now isn't THE idea).  If we were more progressive, and played a bit more football I think we have a squad that isn't as far off last years as it currently looks.

I think this spot on, Lot of blame goes with the manager and coaching staff imo for the style of play.
Why doesnt Harry Williams get a run in the team as a 9 after scoring 39 last year with SS, his goal récord with us in a struggling team was very good but we play him on the left when he starts, Phillips same last season untill King came in,Frustrating.

How many players would come up from the SLP scoring 39 goals and not get a look in at NLN/S level? non I'd imagine.
Beggars belief and HW must be a tad frustrated at his lack of game time.
