Great keeper, never let us down, and loves the Club.

I still maintain we’d have got past Brackley in the the Play off game if he hadn’t been dropped for Hall.

I have to say for me the jury is out- “ Great keeper , never let us down and loves the club.” Why did several managers bring in a loan keeper instead?
The same could be said of Ben Morgan  obviously not in goal. Personally I think they would fit admirably and not want a fortune.

Over to you DW.

Hopefully he's improved with experience but I'm mindful that Tim Flowers took one look at him and brought in Jeacock. You'd think that Tim could spot a goalkeeper when he saw one.

I think TF wanted a keeper who could launch the ball at least 850 yards.

I obviously bow to the greater knowledge of managers, but personally the first thing I look for when rating a keeper is that they are good at making saves and personally I think Liam ticks that box admirably.

Sticking around a while yet, thanks to a gift from a generous angel.

It seems the 'modern' approach for a GK is to act as an additional defender and play out from the back or be able to pass the ball. I remember Green a few years ago great shot stopper but poor at passing out from the back/Goal kicks, perhaps that was a failing of Armstrong?

I’d say that is the reason, but my argument would be all keepers at this level will have weaknesses in their game, or they wouldn’t be playing SLP. I’d prefer the weakness be distribution and them stop shots and command their box, which I think Liam is excellent at.

It actually gives me the heebijeebies when keepers think they’re an out field player. Works at the top level, but where we are it often leads to disaster.

What I will say about Liam is it’s well documented Cook wanted rid of him because Cook wanted a keeper that could hit the other penalty area with his kick.

I would be over the moon if he came back. Great shot stopper, good at passing around the back, loud, and a really nice bloke.

In all fairness, JT rarely lets us down last season.Sure he’s not perfect but I have to say he’s as good as we need.

Definitely prefer JT.

Ben Morgan would be a great signing imo, not much would get past him and BRE.

Same here. Both are ok enough, but neither outstanding.
