May be unpopular but not for me, would imagine he would want a pretty big wage, got a history of back trouble. Would he be able to play on our surface every other week? I'm not sure.

I reckon he’s Yate bound.

McClure is 33, compared to me not old but can he sustain a full season? Him and KP would be a good fit.

No, would spoil his legacy. There are plenty more fish in the sea.

I'm surprised their players have comitted already given they don't know what league they're gonna be in. I know that they're out on a limb geoegraphically whatever league they're in but the north is going to be a drag for anyone based in Bristol and beyond with them either having to go to Merthyr to join the coach or the coach coming to them.

Spoke to him about a possible return down at W&H he wasn't keen to say the least.

I did too, and he wasn’t keen if we were in the NLN, but seemed quite open to the idea if we were in the SLP.

Not for me though I don’t think.

I guess it depends on how much money he wanted. I can't see a Step 2 club coming for him as he wasn't a regular starter for Chippenham, but he would add a bit of depth to the squad if the price was right. Depth is something that we have been lacking. Look at the bench Totton were able to name for example.

Totally agree with that. He’s a class act and I’d love to see him in our squad, but I just think he’d be too expensive, not because he’s greedy but simply because of his location. It would have to be worth his while to cover all those miles travelled.

If the price was right I’d take him like a shot.

(He also said he was fit and hadn’t had any injury problems of late).

him and Phillips were a proven combination at NLN level. And a few people on here have talked about  having at least one player-coach: doesn’t he have a coaching business?

Overall though, I think my preference would be to look at younger options.
