Warrington dear boy!
Wishful thinking we would have an easier game! In reality having the two weeks off probably would have been better.

Not going to happen though is it? I just don’t see how we stay up right now. We’ve just lost two away games 1-0

Aren't Spenymoor winning all their home games and losing away and sit third?

Watched the highlights and MC post match interview and he’s right. We were poor- I think it’s all about quality. Not doubting effort or commitment but JP DW HW as harsh as it my sound are past their best and it would appear little in the coffers to improve that.

Not very often I agree with Darren but on this occasion he’s right. Set up to defend fine go behind and we haven’t got the quality to respond.
Im not sure what changing the manager achieved or what it would should we go down that avenue again.

We’ve got to hang in there and support who and what we have got.

Most struggling teams set Up not to conceed especially away, Only 1 Game MC has had both Williams and DW available at the same time was vs Alfreton which we won 3-0,JP has played 45 mins under MC I believe which was yesterday after injury.

Its easy to be negative like Darran when we lose etc and I was interested to see how he Saw the 3-0 home win vs Alfreton(Who are currently in the play offs)
But he Never posted on the thread.....

I am hoping that are home form Will be key to getting us out of this position.

I’ve only seen home matches, but I’ve seen a definite improvement in style of play under MC, and creating 5 clear-cut chances in 45 minutes like we did in the 1st half against Alfreton would have been unimaginable under TF.

Interesting that MC has alluded to too many players being on contracts as being a problem for changing up the squad - would it have been realistic at the start of the season to have more of the squad on non-contract terms?

I also wonder whether the recruitment of Gloucester local boys has really paid off.  Although in the time we had available to build a squad, you wonder who else we could have got in.

TF's appointment was, as PC has acknowledged, not the one required. MC has had to work with the team TF had recruited, including local players (which rang alarm bells with some of us) some of whom haven't proved to be up to this level, so no blame can be levelled at MC.

The win against Alfreton last weekend was a positive. We narrowly lost to the top of the table side midweek, and Boston was obviously a game affected by players not being available. It's clear that we need firepower up front but I have faith that MC - if he can bring players in, can take us up the table.

Removing TF came not a moment too soon - we're now a third of the way through the season. As long as we can keep winning at home, we won't be in the playoffs, but we will at least maintain our place in NLN for next season and build from there. Relegation and all that entails doesn't bear thinking about.

What worries me most though was we had 40 minutes to try and get an equaliser and still created nothing. You have a Boston fan on Twitter saying that the 25 city fans should ask for a refund because we were that bad. Tamworth the plan nearly worked but a lapse in defence and the keeper meant it didn’t but clearly as soon as we go behind you know the game is lost.
Alfreton was clearly a much better performance but that is now just one game we’ve know won under cook and we’ve lost all the others. You will note that I did say we didn’t deserve to lose at Southport were we did actually give it a go after going a goal down so why didn’t that happen yesterday? Even at this stage 6 points is a big gap and I really do think Saturday is a must win game. It is totally unrealistic though for people to say as long as we win our home games we will be fine because we won’t win all our home games. Kettering last season had superb home form and were awful away and look where they are now.
