“The club can confirm that Patrick and Nicky Chambers have stepped down from their roles this morning. A further statement will go out during the day confirming the club’s stewardship going forward.”

Don’t blame them at all as it can’t have been nice having a certain section of fans abusing them all the time.

Well there will be some very happy people on this forum, maybe they would like to take over the chair, they are obviously more qualified judging by the comments they have sprouted, or perhaps some words of wisdom as to where we go from here?

Nice work, you got your way, sit back in your armchair and sneer.

My only hope now is that they stood down to let someone or a consortium take over but I think not.

Let’s see if those who wanted them out step forward now and help the club. God knows they’ll need it.

Oh, by the way going to away games doesn’t count as helping the club, cheers.

I’m disappointed that it’s not worked out for the Chambers here, but I do not blame them in the slightest for leaving.

I guess we’ll just have to wait to see what the future holds now. I just hope that the way the Chambers have been treated by a section of our supporters since day one does not put others off from investing time or money into us. If we’re ever going to grow we need outside investment, and I don’t think we’ve done a good job there of welcoming ‘outsiders’. We’re already also hearing stories about players also warning other players from signing for us. What a dreadful situation we find ourselves in. Fingers crossed for a positive announcement in coming days about our future.

Oh no not good news at all. It hasn't gone well for them and their tolerance must have been strained by both on-the-field events and the abuse from some quarters. Perhaps those dishing out the abuse would like to stick their hands in their own pockets to understand what goes into running a football club rather than bellowing profanities from the safety of the stands. Can only wish the Chambers well and say sorry to see people who came here with good intent to steward the club leave.
